The fifth season of iCarly began airing on Nickelodeon on August 13, 2011 and is currently airing. The season features Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove), Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress) as their own Web Show iCarly is becoming more popular worldwide. And this is as the possible overview that will happen soon around this season 5 of iCarly! Following the events of “iOMG”, where Sam kisses Freddie, she disappears for three days. Carly’s knowledge of Sam’s cell-phone password and the use of cell-phone-tracking software reveal that Sam has checked herself into a mental hospital. Freddie visits her to find out that she can’t handle her mixed feelings of love and hate for him.

Freddie, on an iCarly webcast live from the hospital, reveals that even though Sam likes him and is in denial about it, his feelings are important, too. He walks up to her and kisses her, symbolizing the start of a new relationship.

Some time ago from iLost My Mind on season 5 opener! Three days after the events of “iOMG” Carly tries to find out where Sam is who she hasn’t seen since the kiss between her and Freddie. Freddie arrives who locates Sam being at a mental hospital by tracking down her Pear Phone. There, Sam reveals that she checked herself into the mental hospital unable to cope with her feelings towards Freddie. After a talk with Freddie, she is ready to leave but isn’t able to since she needs a parent to sign out.

However, Sam’s mother is away getting surgery. To get her out, Carly and Freddie decide to have Spencer dress up as Sam’s mother but his cover is quickly blown as he signs Sam out by an old friend of his from law school who doesn’t understand the situation. Unable to get Sam out in time to do “iCarly”, the gang decides to do the show live from the mental hospital where Carly and Sam questions their fans on whether or not Sam is crazy for kissing Freddie. Freddie then tells how he feels and passionately kisses Sam.
